I am a Prevention Specialist for the New York Council on Problem Gambling and have worked in the prevention field since 2006. I am a grateful husband and a proud father. I am many successful things, but they all begin with me. Many times people feel they aren’t living up to their potential. I feel it is the job of a personal trainer to help each individual discover their intrinsic motivation and develop the confidence to achieve their aspirations beginning with their health and fitness goals.
As a youth, I felt inferior to my peers due to a mixture of feelings and situations. During my college years, I hit the gym, working to out-size everyone I knew. As I finished my master’s degree, I realized that I’d reached my bodybuilding goal without performance enhancing supplements, and so, at 240 pounds, I decided to discover a new fitness venture. After trying a Kung Fu class, I decided that I would focus my training on the Chinese Martial Arts (Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Sanshou) with the Chinese Martial Arts Academy. I absolutely love the euphoric, calming feeling I experience after a good session. The sense of strength both physically and mentally are, for me, unparalleled.
Although I’m very interested in martial arts, I love to read and explore new training styles and sports. They challenge me, and offer the opportunity to understand the needs of other people interested in improving their physical wellbeing.
As a Personal Trainer I offer personalized comprehensive training programs. Beginning with a PAR-Q to help understand the client as an individual and help define fitness goals, I use a combination of relevant physical activities, nutrition assistance, and lifestyle choice management. Personalized fitness routine templates and nutritional templates are utilized in the collaborative effort between clients and myself to modify poor behavior and develop successful habits that lead toward clients' self-identified personal goals.
I am very excited to work with new clients as I hope to assist as many individuals as possible in reaching their health and wellness goals. I can always be contacted for a FREE consultation, or for a quick question. I’m excited to hear from you and I hope my services suit your fitness goals.
